A Giveaway!!!

It's high-time for a giveaway, don't you think? My humble little blog wants to be a star (or at least higher on a search of my name!) and I think a dual purpose giveaway should do the trick!

As you all know, I love reddit. I spend a great deal of time on there and have really found a place in the community. Well, a fellow redditor has his own search engine! It's geared towards people who don't like google's somewhat-evil method of displaying search results based on your interests and facebook info. So in order to promote DuckDuckGo and to bring some more traffic to my humble corner of the internet, we're doing a giveaway!

To enter, just comment on this blog entry. It can be whatever you like!* Tell me about the weather in your neighborhood! Your new cat! Or how Bigfoot just stole a beer from the fridge! One comment per contestant, please. Also, it's only open to United States residents. Shipping is expensive, yo!

*Except for not safe for work material, racist, homophobic, sexist, and generally mean stuff.

We'll have three winners.

Third place will receive:
A narwhal cross stitched book mark in the color of their choice AND a pair of micro-tomato earrings in the color of their choice.




Second place will receive:
A narwhal cross stitched book mark, a pair of micro-tomato earrings AND a medium sized bouquet of ribbon roses.


First place will receive:
A narwhal bookmark, micro-tomato earrings, a LARGE sized bouquet of ribbon roses, AND a piece of altered art* AND a music inspired birdhouse.

 



*The art you see here is not the one you'll be receiving. I'll make you something special and unique!

    Hi Asthan! Your crafts are amazing. I will bookmark this blog and visit weekly. I love reddit and ddg as well. I'm from Olympia, WA, and the dreaded rain is coming back fast. I need something to cheer me up. :(

    Thanks for the new blog to follow :) Have you ever considered using Tumblr as well? I know i use it as a sketchblog, so, I suppose you could use it as a photo gallery to pin back to your full blog entries?

    My goal for next Halloween: make a narwhal costume for my dog. He loves wearing clothes but he's quite the manly pup! This year he was a bat and matched me, but I think a narwhal costume would be hilarious.

    I can't wait to start the recording process with my band next week. It's been a long time coming and now we're recording an album. I will finally have something to show for all this hard work with the guys rocking out over the past two years. :)

    I'm really excited to maybe get my first real long-term writing gig- I've been a freelance writer for a while, but it's hard to get noticed by anybody. A lot of people think they can write, or that it'd be an "easy job", and it's hard to separate people like that from people like me, who have a real passion for literature and fiction.

    I think the stuff you're offering to give away is really cool. I wish I was visually creative enough to make something really crafty, but I'm like the Engineer in TF2- I solve practical problems. People don't like to look at practical problems most of the time, though =/

    In Oklahoma we've been having some earthquakes and people are calling us wimps. Yeah, we're not used to earthquakes, but I am proud of the way we respond to tornadoes and how the entire state comes together after a disaster to help. Boomer Sooner!
